Vision Statement
Ashtabula County Family and Children First Council is a collaborative of many private and non-profit child and family serving agencies, schools, governmental bodies and parent representatives.
The group was formed in 1994 through an initiative developed by Governor Voinovich and affirmed in 1997 through State House Bill 215.
The Council is a forum to assess and meet community needs, as well as a vehicle for many community- and family-centered state grant programs. The goal of the Council is to improve services for families throughout Ashtabula County and plan locally for prevention and intervention services that reflect the unique character of Ashtabula County and its residents.
The Council is involved in assuring that all services and programs within the county operate collaboratively, in order to achieve the highest level of effectiveness, and strive to increase and improve communication between services as well as between services and the community.
